Hello and welcome to live coverage of the All-Ireland hurling semi-finals, Clare against Dublin from the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 4pm is first up, then Galway against Tipperary from the same venue at 6.15pm. There are also three games in the football championship, in the preliminary round. Cork against Roscommon is currently playing, then Kildare against Monaghan at 4.45pm and Donegal against Tyrone at 7pm.

Nicky English thinks Clare should win but shouldn’t take Dublin for granted.

“Clare have to be favourites but their shooting in the Munster final was mediocre – either long potshots that fell for the goalkeeper or simple wides. That’s been a trend with them.

They could do with Tony Kelly stepping it up a bit, and other forwards aren’t scoring consistently. I think they’ll win but they need improvement up front if they plan on going farther.”

In the football, Cork lead Roscommon by 0-11 to 0-10, 13 minutes into the second half there.

In Minor football semi-final, Monaghan lead Kerry by three points with 41 minutes gone.

With 67 minutes gone in the All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final, Cork lead Roscommon by a point, 1-13 to 0-15 points. A tight finish ahead there, with the losers out of the championship.

Cork are through to the All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals after a narrow one-point victory over Roscommon. That’s Roscommon out of the championship, who at one point looked like topping their group but two straight losses to Kildare and Cork and that is their football over for the summer.

In the All-Ireland minor football semi-final, Monaghan lead Kerry by two points after 55 minutes, 1-9 to 0-10.

Heading into stoppage time in the minor football semi-final. Kerry are pushing and had a goal chance to take the lead but great save by the Monaghan keeper. Monaghan hold onto the lead by two points! 1-10 to 0-11.

In the minor football semi-final, Monaghan are through to their first All-Ireland final since 1939 after beating Kerry 1-10 to 0-10.

4 mins: GOAL FOR CLARE! Could only be one man, Tony Kelly with the goal after picking the pocket of the Dublin player on the half-forward line and clinically finishing.

Before, a few misses early on by both teams before Ian Galvin gets the first point of the game from the wing. Early four-point lead for Clare.

7 mins: Another point, Mark Rodgers from a free. But two more misses from Clare as they dominate the early stages. Dublin yet to get off the board.

10 mins: Cian O’Sullivan gets Dublin’s first point of the game with a free. Six wides by Clare is a concern, Dublin have missed a few too. Missed two from the same left wing in quick succession.

14 mins: Crummey is fouled after a long ball causes issues for Clare. O’Sullivan puts over an easy free. A sloppy period for Clare, making a few mistakes on the ball. They concede another free put over by O’Sullivan.

17 mins: Another wide by Clare made it seven for the match, but David Fitzgerald bursts through and goes for goal, just over but their first point for a while. Dublin respond with a point from Whitely, who came on for injured Dónal Burke. A great point then from Crummey puts Dublin within a point. Then a goal chance for Clare but a brilliant save by Seán Brennan, they score a point from the rebound.

Then a GOAL FOR DUBLIN! Crazy few minutes as Dublin have men over, Clare all at sea, they almost intercept but Darragh Power powerfully finishes past the keeper. Dublin ahead.

20 mins: GOAL FOR CLARE! Super run by David Fitzgerald, right down the middle under no pressure. He plays a handpass to Rodgers who burst past the keeper and almost runs it in, tapping into an empty net. Clare back to two points ahead.

24 mins: John Conlon got a bad hit and will be taken off after serious medical treatment, blow to Clare. Paul Flanagan on as a temporary sub.

28 mins: Another wide for Clare, eight today, poor shooting so far. Diarmuid Ryan gives away a foul after a super catch by Cian O’Sullivan in the build-up. He puts over the free.

31 mins: Scrappy enough affair so far, Dublin growing into the game and had a chance for a goal with a better pass after a great run by Crummey. Clare get away with it.

34 mins: Better from Clare as Fitzgerald runs at the Dublin defence and pops it over. Dublin respond after a soft free as O’Sullivan gets his fifth free of the match. Another good goal chance for Clare after a great catch by Duggan, O’Donnell’s pass was poor but Rodgers scores. Then Rodgers scores again straight afterwards.

35 mins: GOAL FOR CLARE! Clare turn the screw with a five-minute blitz. Fitzgerald wins the ball and runs strongly again and a good hand pass to Tony Kelly who is near the goal and only only result was likely as he powerfully finishes past the keeper. Then O’Donnell scores a point.

ANOTHER GOAL FOR CLARE! Long ball in is laid off to Shane O’Donnell who waltzes his way past the defence and finishes.

40 mins: So there was a point in it about five minutes ago, now it’s 10 points in it! Devastating play by Clare at the end of the half. Dublin with a few wides that they just cannot afford to make. A yellow card for Peter Duggan. Crummey wins a soft free, put over by O’Sullivan to reduce the lead to nine points.

HALF-TIME: Clare 4-8 Dublin 1-8

An even game and then it wasn’t. Clare upped a gear at the end of the first half. Some great performances by David Fitzgerald, Shane O’Donnell and Tony Kelly have proved too much for Dublin. For the first 30 minutes Clare were sloppy and wasteful, with too many wides but will be happy with a nine-point lead at half-time. Hard to see a way back for Dublin now. The teams are back out for the second half for Clare and Dublin.

38 mins: GOAL FOR CLARE! Hat-trick for Tony Kelly. All goals similar, a breaking ball, a powerful run and a clinical finish.

Earlier he had the first point of the second half for Clare, followed up by Mark Rodgers with a nice turn. Crummey battled through and put it over for Dublin’s first of the half.

41 mins: Shanagher on for O’Donnell, O’Donnell resting up with the job seemingly done. Another point for Rodgers. Dublin defence just not good enough today, all five goals similar and leaving too large gaps. A 14-point lead for Clare, not much of a contest here. Point for O’Sullivan from a free for Dublin.

Monaghan and Kildare is level, 1-2 to 0-5.

44 mins: Another point for Tony Kelly, followed up by one by Cathal Malone. A point by Danny Sutcliffe from distance as the Clare lead is 14.

47 mins: Rodgers with another point from a free. Terrible puckout by Dublin and straight to Tony Kelly, who makes it 3-3 for the day on his own account. Cian O’Sullivan scores then for Dublin.

Two more points for Monaghan, who lead Kildare by two.

51 mins: GOAL FOR DUBLIN! Serious shot there, great pace and strike by sub Alex Considine. Might be a consolation but a cracker. A 1-6 total by Rodgers, who is flying and competing with Tony Kelly for man of the match. Shanagher with a point after a brilliant pass by Rodgers.

54 mins: Another point for Rodgers from a free, then from play, up to 1-8 for the day. Great movement and shot. Cian O’Sullivan then scores a free.

Kildare back within a point of Monaghan in the football, 1-5 to 0-7.

60 mins: Two good saves by Clare keeper Eibhear Quilligan as Dublin go for goals. Two chances missed for Dublin. O’Sullivan misses the 65. Earlier Shanagher got his second point off the bench.

63 mins: David Fitzgerald has had a fine game today, powers through and scores another point. Lovely interplay by Clare including Reidy and Kelly finishes it off to get to 3-4 for the day. A point from distance for Dublin from Gray.

Kildare lead at half-time against Monaghan in the football prelim quarter, coming back from two points down earlier in the half. Two points from Ben McCormack near the end of the half and Kirwan scored to give the Lilywhites the lead.

69 mins: Another point by O’Sullivan, followed by two from Rodgers who gets to 1-10 for the day. A fourth point of the day for Fitzgerald. A flat second half in atmosphere and on the pitch as the game was well and truly won on both sides of half-time.

Easy win for Clare, devastating in attack with Tony Kelly scoring 3-4 and Mark Rodgers scoring 1-11. Bigger tests to come for the Banner county but after a sluggish start they were far too strong for a weak Dublin side.

Next up in the hurling it’s Galway against Tipperary at 6.15pm. The second half is about to begin in the SFC prelim quarter between Kildare and Monaghan, Kildare up by a point.

Galway legend Joe Canning writes his county is under serious pressure as they brace themselves for Tipperary test. Tipperary have already made significant progress under Liam Cahill but the Tribesmen’s defeat in the Leinster final means they badly need a big scalp.

Kildare lead Monaghan by a point heading into stoppage time in the football, 0-13 to 1-9.

8 mins: Concannon contests a point, he thought it was over but umpires say no. First from play for Tipp, Michael Breen knocks it over.

Meanwhile, Monaghan have gone ahead in the last minute against Kildare in the football! Two late points have won it at the death.

13 mins: Two more points, one for each time as it stays level at three each. Tynan with a fine score from the wing. Big point from distance by Joseph Cooney puts Galway ahead.

18 mins: Lots of stoppages for frees so far, a few wides from both teams. Jason Forde doesn’t miss a third time though and it’s back level.

21 mins: Galway go back in front through Niland free. Tense game so far. Jason Forde immediately levels after best score of the game so far, good play by Tipp. Whelan finally in the game after 20 minutes, gets a point from a breaking ball.

24 mins: Tynan had a goal chance but overcarried, should have played a pass. Nice move by Galway but a poor wide. Forde wins the ball played in and wins a free, which he puts over the bar. Six each.

27 mins: Callanan runs at the defence and shoots but well blocked by Galway. Niland scores a free for Galway and then they win the resulting puckout and play it quick to Whelan who goes for goal but well saved by Tipp keeper Shelly.

30 mins: Whelan has proved a menace last five minutes, making some clever runs, he was fouled going through on goal and wins a free in. Niland puts over to increase Galway’s lead to two.

33 mins: Lovely feint by Whelan on the wing, sells the defender with a sidestep and then sticks straight over the bar. Then a big goal chance for Conor Whelan, great pass into him, through on goal under no pressure, shoots it low but an unbelievable save by Tipp keeper Shelly with his foot. Goes over the bar though. Four-point lead for Galway.

35 mins: Great spell by Galway, Whelan making a big difference. One super catch from a long ball was hit wide, but Tipp are struggling to create anything as Galway put them under pressure. Forde scores from a free to bring Tipp within three. Some 12 minutes between scores.

HALF-TIME: Galway 0-10 Tipperary 0-7

Relatively low-scoring affair, cagey and lots of long-range shooting for significant parts of it. Galway have been intense in the tackle and not allowed Tipp much space to breathe and Conor Whelan has shone in the attack as the difference-maker. Only for saves from Shelly, Galway could be further ahead. Still well poised heading into the second half.

GOAL FOR GALWAY! First move of the half, immediate ball up to Conor Whelan, poor defending and he finishes past Shelly. Only 17 seconds after the start of the half. Jason Forde misses a free, not the first one he’s missed today.

39 mins: Two quickfire scores in a minute by Tipp as they waken up, one by Gearod O’Connor. Whelan on fire and wins the ball again from a long ball in and Niland puts it over to move Galway back five ahead.

42 mins: Some great defending by Galway, Tipp win a ball near the Galway goal but Galway crowd them out and win a free out.

45 mins: A few wides for both teams. Forde wins a ball in, fouled and scores the free to bring it within four. Lovely pass by Noel McGrath into Alan Tynan gives him a good goal chance but he can’t convert, low and past the post.

49 mins: Cianan Fahy wins his puckout and sticks it over, good score. A 65 for Niland comes down off the post, Another point for Galway, Daithi Burke, from miles out! Good spell for Galway. Another chance for Galway but missed by Cooney.

52 mins: Another great point by Fahy as Galway move seven clear. A high ball is missed by the Tipp defender and Whelan puts the ball over easily. Tipp respond with points from Ronan Maher and Forde.

57 mins: Five misses in a row between the two sides before Tipp sub Johnny Ryan brings it back to five points.

60 mins: Jake Morris wins a free close in and Forde scores. Only four in it as Tipp fight hard. At least four to five missed chances in a tough spell for Galway. An important score then from Galway sub Tom Monaghan as they move back five ahead.

63 mins: GOAL FOR TIPPERARY! John McGrath scores, high ball and Galway’s defence all over the place, falls to McGrath whipped off the ground. Before, it was the first point of the day for Séamus Kennedy from the left for Tipp. Only a point in it! Tom Monaghan responds with a nice point to bring it back to two.

66 mins: Good catch by Fahy from a puckout and lays off for Niland who puts it over. A bad miss then for him a minute later as he misses in an acre of space. Kennedy then scores from the puckout.

68 mins: After serious messing around at the back, Shelly makes another wonderful save, this time from Fahy, serious reactions. Costly miss for Galway keeps Tipperary in it. One point game!

70 mins: Niland scores a free for Galway to put them two ahead. 1-19 to 1-17. Three minutes stoppage time. Ball comes to Tom Monaghan and another super score! Three points from the bench. Three points ahead for Galway.

73 mins: Very cynical foul by Seán Linnane as he rugby tackles the Tipp player down. Forde scores the free. A minute left, two points in it.

FULL-TIME: Galway 1-20 Tipperary 1-18

So Galway through to the semi-final to play Limerick, Kilkenny to play Clare in the other semi-final. A well-deserved victory for Galway although they went quiet for a period of the second half and let Tipperary back into it. A very intense contest, Galway’s defence were strong, Whelan caused a lot of problems and Tom Monaghan made a big impact off the bench.
