UNDER-21 HURLING:The Leinster Council have switched their provincial under-21 hurling semi-finals, which had been set for this week, to next week, to avoid any conflict with the senior semi-final replay between Dublin and Wexford, which has been confirmed for Croke Park this Sunday, with a 3.50pm throw-in.
The revised under-21 schedule will see Offaly play Wexford in Birr on Wednesday week, June 25th, and Dublin play Kilkenny in Parnell Park on Thursday week, June 26th, with both starting at 7.30pm.
LIMERICK:Limerick's dynamic midfielder Wayne McNamara looks set to miss Sunday's Munster hurling championship semi-final against Clare at Semple Stadium through injury.
The 21-year-old was in line for a senior championship debut but he sustained shoulder damage in a recent training session and team medics do not hold out much hope that he will start the game. Richie Bennis will name his team on Thursday.
WEXFORD:Wexford manager John Meyler is keeping his fingers crossed that his four injured players will be back for Sunday's Leinster hurling semi-final replay against Dublin at Croke Park.
Forwards Barry Lambert, Stephen Nolan and Willie Doran missed last Saturday's draw at Nowlan Park because of respective groin, thumb and back injuries, and midfielder MJ Furlong aggravated a calf injury during the pre-match warm-up, and was unable to take his place in the starting line-up.
CORK:Cork wing back Paudie Kissane could miss the remainder of the championship after breaking his right forearm in last Sunday's Munster football semi-final victory over Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds. Kissane underwent surgery yesterday morning and is facing six to eight weeks out.
Another of Cork's four debutants, midfielder Alan O'Connor, is also a major doubt for the Munster final against champions Kerry on Sunday week after twisting his ankle.
