There'll be no need for introductions at Milltown on Sunday when Genesis and UCD meet in the second round of the Coca Cola Leinster Senior Cup. Between them the clubs provided 11 of the players who made up the Leinster Under-21 squad for the interprovincial tournament in Kilkenny last weekend. But with a place in the last eight of the competition at stake, one assumes camaraderie will be suspended on Sunday, for 70 minutes at least.

Five of UCD's seven Leinster players - sisters Jilly and Lucy Cotter, Katherine Little, Hilda Maguire and Emma Woods - were named this week as recipients of the university's sports scholarships, reward for the quintet who were top schools' players.

Sunday's game should be a close affair, as there is little to choose between the teams in the league this season. But the outcome of the round's other all-Senior A tie, between Loreto and Muckross, should be more predictable after Muckross's recent heavy defeat by the Leinster champions. In the round's three Senior A v B ties, cup holders Old Alexandra and Hermes should prove too strong for Clontarf and Pembroke Wanderers II, respectively, but home advantage could help Corinthians, currently second in Senior B, upset Glenanne tomorrow.

Hermes II will hope for a repeat of Wednesday night's 3-2 league win over Our Lady's when the teams meet again on Sunday. The games between Senior B sides Avoca and Aer Lingus and Loreto II and Old Alexandra II complete the round.
