Yesterday's runaway win for Antrim champions Dunloy over local team Father Murphy's turned out to be a personal triumph for full forward Alastair Elliott, scorer of five goals, four in the first half, the highest ever individual score recorded in an All-Ireland club hurling championship game at Ruislip.
Father Murphy's had no answer to the threat posed by Elliott who could well have improved on his tally had he not retired injured 12 minutes from the end.
While Father Murphy's provided their followers with some hope by scoring two early points, for the remainder of the game they were fighting a rearguard action.
