A preliminary hearing was held yesterday into the City of London police case involving six-times champion jockey Kieren Fallon.

The rider was charged in July with conspiracy to defraud Betfair customers following a long-running investigation.

The hearing at Southwark Crown Court was adjourned to a later date yet to be confirmed.

A court order imposed by the judge limits any details of the case being reported at this stage. Fallon denies any wrong-doing.
