Crescent Comprehensive - 35 BAndon Grammar - 3: Crescent Comprehensive eased gently into the semi-finals of the Munster Schools' Senior Cup with a comprehensive victory in Bandon yesterday.

While Crescent scored all the tries it was not as one-sided as the scoreline suggests. The game was finished off as a contest when Crescent scored twice in the closing minutes of a hotly-disputed first half.

Alan Jennings kicked Bandon into the lead with a 16th-minute penalty before Mike South got the opening try nine minutes later. That was followed by tries from Barry O'Mahony and Ronan O'Sullivan. South added another try early in the second half and O'Carroll landed an injury-time try. He converted both.
