Cricket Round-up: North County retained their WMK League title on Saturday when they beat The Hills at Inch by eight wickets. County have now established an unassailable lead going into next weekend's final round of matches.

The Hills made 184 for 8 off their 50 overs in the baking sun on Saturday. But with eight wickets and 17 overs to spare, County had the confident air of true champions. Conor Armstrong made an unbeaten 64 and Eoin Morgan chipped in with 39.

At the bottom Railway Union and The Hills face the drop to Section B. Railway Union managed 107 all out against Phoenix in Park Avenue on Saturday losing by eight wickets .

In Section B Rush look like winning the first promotion place after destroying Old Belvedere by ten wickets at Kenure on Saturday. An unbeaten century from teenager Fintan McAllister was the highlight with Colm Doyle making 53 not out.
