The Cork racecourse executive will apply for a new date after their meeting scheduled for Saturday was called off yesterday. A morning inspection found that the track was waterlogged after recent heavy rain.
Leicester racecourse are "hopeful" of staging their meeting tomorrow, having been forced to abandon their fixture last Monday due to water-logging on the hurdle track.
Clerk of the course Nick Lees said yesterday: "We've had a couple of dry days and we are hopeful of racing going ahead on Friday.
"The going is currently heavy on the hurdles course and good to soft, soft in places on the chase course.
"And we look like not getting many runners in the hurdle races so we may be able to get round the worst affected areas."
Ayr's meeting scheduled for Saturday must pass an inspection this afternoon as parts of the track are currently under water after recent rainfall.
The venue staged a card on St Stephen's Day and clerk of the course Mark Kershaw said: "We have had further rain since we raced on heavy ground on Saturday, and the ground is waterlogged in places at the moment.
"We are going to inspect at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow for racing on Saturday. We certainly wouldn't want any further rain."
