Cork City 3 Finn Harps 0A STRAIGHTFORWARD win at Turner's Cross last night for Cork means a good run gets better while alarm bells must surely start ringing in Donegal.

Goals either side of the break broke the Harps resolve, before the Leesiders decided to cruise home through the rest of what eventually became a low-key tie.

Denis Behan came in for the injured John O'Flynn and grabbed the middle goal of the three, with Liam Kearney and George O'Callaghan striking either side of that one.

Harps took the game to Cork, with Conor Gethins producing three chances inside the opening 20 minutes.

The home side were by no means passengers although the opener was probably a bit of a kick in the teeth for Hegarty.

Colin Healy, Joe Gamble and Dave Mooney were given too much space in a build-up that found Kearney who produced a good flick to beat his man before shooting to the far corner.

Cork grabbed the second with four minutes remaining to the break. Mooney sent a perfect cross to the front post where Denis Behan volleyed home powerfully.

The real hammer blow came just after the break after Harps failed to clear a Kearney cross. He gladly received the ball back and found O'Callaghan who shot first time and low to Cullen's right, the goalkeeper palming it to the roof of the net.
