Tries from flanker Diarmuid Corcoran, early and late, helped St Patrick's, Navan, to victory over St Mary's, Drogheda, in Navan yesterday.

With scrumhalf and captain David Delahunt going over for the second try and Ronan Conaty adding the points, St Patrick's went into a 12-0 lead before a try from Ryan Charlson, converted by Conall McGinley, brought St Mary's back into contention at 12-7 at half-time.

A Colm Scanlon try after a long run and another accurate conversion by McGinley edged the Drogheda side ahead (14-12) in the second period.

After a Conaty penalty put St Patrick's back in front Corcoran grabbed his second try and Conaty added the conversion.

The Good Counsel-Enniscorthy CBS game was postponed until tomorrow and The Wilson's Hospital-Marian College tie was postponed until next Monday at a venue to be decided.
