CONNACHT make seven changes and two positional alterations in the team to meet Orrell in the European Conference at the Sports Ground on Saturday from the side that lost to Toulon last Sunday.
In the back division, Michael Kearin moves from the left to right wing in place of Michael Devine, who was concussed against Toulon; Nigel Carolan comes in on the left wing and Eric Elwood, recovered from injury, resumes at outside half in place of Owen Cobbe.
In the pack, John Maber takes over from Tom Clancy at loose head prop, Barry Browne is at hooker for Billy Mulcahy; Ronnie Culliton is in the second row for Shane Leahy, who moves to the blind side flank and he is joined in the back row by Rory Rogers and Barry Gavin, who come in for Mark Reilly and Kevin Devlin. Rogers will captain the side.
St Mary's College, who meet Lansdowne in the final of the Leinster Senior League at Donnybrook on Sunday, have opted to confine their selection to players who have represented the club in the competition to date.
St Mary's have taken this commendable decision even though their representative players who were not available during the league campaign because of the Interprovincial Championship and European competitions, are eligible and would now be available. Lansdowne will pursue the same course and their team will be announced today.
