It took a course record 66 to win the Captain's (Alex Magill) Prize at Clontarf on Saturday. Indeed, record breaker Paul Congdon had to birdie the last two holes to hold off the challenge of Danny Allen, who shot a fine 62 off a 12 handicap. Congdon's 66 gross set a new target for the recently altered course and his nett 61 just pipped Allen, whose birdie attempt at the last stopped on the lip, by one shot.
