Good Company attracted his fair share of headlines back in November but returns to action at Downpatrick today where he can give jockey Mark Walsh a much happier experience.
Walsh picked up a 21-day suspension under the "non-trier" rules when Good Company was runner-up to Contessa Messina in that controversial race at Thurles three months ago.
Afterwards, trainer Christy Roche successfully appealed a €2,000 fine and a 60-day ban on the horse running was also lifted. But Walsh's appeal was unsuccessful, leaving him on the sidelines for a considerable period. The partnership looks to have a good chance today.
Ruby Walsh makes the trip north for a number of rides, including Bluestone Lad in the featured Powers Ulster Grand National. Pat Fahy's horse was a winner over two and a half miles at Gowran last month and Walsh taking the ride again will sway many punters his way.
Another to look out for, though, could be Hordago, an easy Limerick winner over Christmas, who subsequently failed to live up to expectations in the Leopardstown Chase.
