Charlesland ladies are on the prowl for All-Ireland glory. They have qualified for the All-Ireland final of the Mail on Sunday competition, to be held at Slieve Russell on Monday next, September 11th. Since the competition began in February, Charlesland have beaten Edmondstown, Delgany, Woodenbridge, Grange, Tipperary and Hazel Grove. Standing in their way on Monday next are the City of Derry, who won the tournament outright in the South of France last year. The winners of Monday's match will progress to the quarter-final stages between clubs from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales, beginning at the Belfry from October 7th to 9th. The semi-finals and finals will be held at Golf de Fregate in Provence, France from November 8th to 12th.
