Carlow 3-15 London 0-6: Carlow scored 3-11 in the second half on their way to an 18-point victory over London at Dr Cullen Park.

Carlow led 0-4 to 0-3 at the break, having played into the stiff breeze. The biggest talking point among the sparse attendance was the seven yellow cards issued in the opening 13 minutes by Westmeath referee Seán O'Carroll.

In all O'Carroll brandished one red card (London's Declan Meehan), 12 yellows, while eight players were ticked.

SCORERS - Carlow: M Carpenter (1-4); P Hickey (0-4, all frees); S Rea (0-4, two from frees, one from 45); B Murphy, T Walsh (1-0 each); C Pender (0-2); J Fitzgerald (0-1). London: P Quirke (0-4, frees); C Byrne, P McConigley (0-1 each).
