Cheltenham: Mister Hight may be a warm favourite for the JCB Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham but an old rival could pitch his own claim for Cheltenham consideration this week.

Dermot Weld's Bob's Pride hasn't been seen in public since finishing seventh to Dubawi in the Irish 2,000 Guineas but is set to make his jumping debut either at Gowran tomorrow or Leopardstown on Sunday.

Bob's Pride is already a 25 to 1 shot with Ladbrokes for the Triumph and already has a career victory over Mister Hight to his credit when handing out a two-and-a-half-length beating in last April's Group three Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown.

The high class Bob's Pride also beat the subsequent Irish Derby third Shalapour in a Curragh maiden in March but has been off the track since May.

"He has been a long time off and will come on a lot for the run. We will decide where he starts off between either Gowran or Leopardstown," said Weld before deflecting questions about the Triumph itself.

"It's one day at a time. Nothing has been decided and let's just see how he gets on," he added.

Queen Astrid, another former high-class flat runner for Weld, could be set to make her chasing debut at Navan on Saturday.
