Old Belvedere continued their push for Division Two honours at Anglesea Road where they withstood late pressure to hold off Dolphin and register their fourth win from five matches.
The home side shot to a 32-12 lead but allowed Dolphin in for two late tries which left the score at 32-26 and earned them a bonus league point.
Belvedere's success contrasted sharply with that of Carlow who fell to their second successive league defeat, this time to Bective at Donnybrook. Fergal Campion Campion, scored all of his side's points in the 12-11 win, landing three penalties and a drop goal.
In the student battle at the Mardyke it was UCC who carried off the Dudley Cup and the colours title with a 22-13 win over UCD. Centre Conrad O'Sullivan caught the eye with two fine tries.
Greystones settled their 16-13 match against Midleton midway through the second half when centre Conor McNaughton sent winger Conor Gormley on his way out wide. Greystones now occupy second place, with Midleton sitting mid table.
Ballynahinch recorded a 40-8 win over struggling Wesley while Portadown notched 30 points against Wanderers, who remain perilously close to the bottom. Sunday's Well earned an important win over City of Derry to keep them in contention while Malone took the points at home against Bohemians with a 20-16 win.
