The most valuable pot on a busy Sunday in Ireland is the handicap hurdle at Navan where punters will have to decide if Sher Beau's class can overcome a big weight.
Philip Fenton's eight-year-old reverts back to the smaller obstacles after an unfortunate last-fence fall at Killarney last weekend which looked to rob Sher Beau of a certain victory.
However, it looks significant that Fenton brings him out again so quickly and although Sher Beau has to give weight all round, his hurdles rating is over a stone lower than his chasing mark and he was also a Grade Two winner at Fairyhouse in his novice days.
Call Bewleys looks an interesting contender for the second division of the maiden hurdle where the trip should be no trouble to this former point-to-point winner. The Michael O'Leary-owned horse ran an eye-catching race at the start of April behind Holly Tree at Limerick and looks one to step up.
The first division features Acorn Hollow and Polar Call who are both rated at 107 but preference is for the former who ran well behind Dancing Hero at Cork last time.
Pat Flynn's Bahrain Storm featured towards the front of the Irish juvenile hurdle team during the jumps season but reverts to the flat for his first start on the level in almost a year at Gowran Park.
Bahrain Storm is on a lower mark for the mile-and-a-half handicap than his last flat run and for a horse capable of running third in the Grade One juvenile hurdle at the Punchestown Festival he doesn't look harshly treated.
Michael Kinane will be on board the three-year-old Angelonmyshoulder in the seven-furlong conditions race when the John Oxx colt takes on some older horses including an old ally of Kinane in Lord Admiral.
Charles O'Brien's horse is not a particularly straight-forward ride but he ran a fine race from the front last Sunday at Leopardstown where only Danak managed to get past him. Similar tactics could pay off in this company.
Aidan O'Brien is responsible for nine Epsom Derby entries on June 2nd. The Ballydoyle maestro's possibles are headed by Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial winner Archipenko, Chester Vase victor Soldier Of Fortune and Admiralofthefleet, successful in the Dee Stakes.
His party is completed by Acapulco, Anton Chekhov, Chinese Whisper, Eagle Mountain, Mahler and Yellowstone.
