IRELAND'S tennis duo, Scott Barron and Owen Casey had mixed luck in ATP points-earning tournaments yesterday.
Casey was a winner and qualified for the main draw of the £50,000 satellite event at Eastbourne. He beat Rhys Hanger of Britain 6-0, 6-3 and Marco Budic of Sweden 6-2 6-4. The Irish number two now meets Italian Bertolini in the main draw and has already qualified for next week's masters.
Barron, in the Phillipines, was surprisingly ousted in the second round of the $25,000 satellite by Kah Sohn of Korea, but he advanced in doubles partnering Sweden's Ronor Kufal.
