Croke Park may have been just half a stadium for much of the championship, but the overall attendance figures for the summer are still impressive. Almost 900,000 fans will have attended the football championship by the time Kerry and Galway meet in the final on Sunday, and the average for the 38 games to date is just under 25,000. Around 826,000 have already attended the various venues so far, and with 62,000 expected to make the trip to headquarters on Sunday, the total turn-out will be somewhere around 888,000.
