Antrim 0-15 QUB 0-14:ANTRIM CAME back from eight points down to seal a one-point win over Queen's University, Belfast, at Casement Park yesterday. The introduction of Paddy Cunningham six minutes into the second half proved the turning point, with the corner forward scoring four points and proving a thorn in the side of the defence.
Until Cunningham’s introduction, coupled with the move of Michael McCann to midfield, Queen’s were in charge. It took Antrim 21 minutes to bag their opening score through Eoin O’Neill but by that stage Queen’s were 0-6 to 0-0 ahead with James Kielt landing half of that total.
By the 28th minute they led by 0-9 to 0-1 but Antrim notched the last three scores of the half to trail 0-9 to 0-4 at the break. The match looked set for a draw when all square on 70 minutes, but Kevin Brady’s fisted point nudged Antrim ahead in stoppage time.
