Down SFC final/Mayobridge 4-12 Annaclone 0-8: Mayobridge carried too much experience, craft and power for Annaclone at Páirc Esler, Newry, yesterday. Some 50 years had elapsed since Annaclone last contested the Down final, and it was soon clear their long famine was to continue.
Mayobridge assumed cruise control, profiting from a third-minute Adrian Barry goal, and Annaclone's plight worsened when Brendan Coulter also found the net as Mayobridge built a half-time lead of 2-7 to 0-2 .
Annaclone improved in the second half, but Coulter smacked in his second goal and Paul Cunningham announced his arrival as a late substitute for player-manager Micky Linden by grabbing his team's fourth.
