During CAO rooms sell fast. With this in mind, Uninest Student Residences have open days across three of their Dublin residences; Ardcairn House, The Tannery and New Mill from the 15th of August to the 31st of August, between 10am and 5pm. These open days offer the chance for parents and students to pop in (no need to book an appointment) and view our rooms and facilities for themselves. For those unable to physically visit their fantastic residences, Uninest also offer a skype viewing service.

Uninest believes that students should never underestimate the importance of their accommodation; it’s vital that you choose the right place for you. In order to do this, it’s worth pulling together a list of your accommodation priorities. Is the proximity to your university, or the vicinity to the city centre, bars and shopping most important? Or are you more concerned about the social activities available and the opportunities to mingle with new people? Or is the accommodation quality and facilities available key for you?

It’s also worth looking beyond the price of the options available. Does the price include utility bills, for example, and how will the location of the accommodation you’re looking at impact your potential travel costs to the city centre and university?

Finally, be as proactive as you can. Approach student residences directly to discuss options available and get on their mailing lists. The more options you have the better, so making enquiries early will pay dividends.
