Just a few years ago, electric vehicles were still viewed by many Irish motorists as a niche alternative. Questions around driving range, charging infrastructure and affordability dominated conversations.
Fast forward to 2026 and the landscape has changed dramatically. Electric vehicles have become one of the fastest growing segments of the Irish new car market, with registrations continuing to rise as consumers become increasingly confident in making the switch.
Against that backdrop, the Nevo EV Show in partnership with Bank of Ireland has established itself as Ireland’s flagship event for electric mobility, growing year-on-year alongside the market it represents.
What began as an ambitious concept has quickly evolved into the country’s largest automotive event, bringing together manufacturers, industry experts, policymakers and thousands of motorists under one roof.

Returning to Dublin’s RDS Simmonscourt on November 7th and 8th, the 2026 edition promises to be the biggest and most comprehensive yet.
The momentum behind the show mirrors the remarkable progress of Ireland’s EV market. Since launching, Nevo has consistently expanded both its footprint and its audience, responding to growing public demand for trusted information and genuine hands-on experiences.
Rather than simply displaying new vehicles, the event has focused on answering the practical questions that matter most to buyers, from charging and grants to ownership costs and real-world usability. That approach has clearly resonated.
This year’s event expands to two full public days for the first time, allowing even more visitors the opportunity to explore the latest electric vehicles and technologies at their own pace.
It also reflects the growing confidence of manufacturers who increasingly see Ireland as an important market for launching new products.
Leapmotor will headline this year’s event as the official vehicle launch partner, underlining the arrival of another ambitious global brand into the Irish marketplace. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the latest generation of electric vehicles from across the industry, with no fewer than 140 EVs on display representing 38 leading automotive brands.
Nevo’s Simon Andreucetti says: “As managing director of Nevo, I am extremely proud of how the Nevo event has grown from strength to strength each year. We’re delighted to expand to two full public days for the first time, and we’re expecting around 45,000 guests to join us at the RDS – as always, completely free to attend.
“With more than 140 models on display over the two days, Nevo 2026 is set to be Europe’s largest automotive event solely focused on electric vehicles, and a true reflection of just how far Ireland has come on its EV journey. There is no denying that the Irish consumer is confident in purchasing electric vehicles and EVs are now fully mainstream with a suitable and affordable option for all types of households and families.”
One of the biggest and most popular attractions remains the opportunity to experience electric driving first hand. Reading specifications is one thing, but sitting behind the wheel often changes perceptions entirely.
This year, the dedicated test drive area will operate under the banner of the myenergi Driving Experience, with myenergi sponsoring what has become one of the show’s most popular attractions.
The live demonstration arena also returns following its success last year. Once again sponsored by ESB, it will see a new electric vehicle launched every hour over the weekend of the event. Throughout the event, visitors can watch detailed presentations of the latest electric models while experts explain new technologies, charging innovations, battery developments and the features that differentiate today’s rapidly expanding range of EVs.
Education continues to sit at the heart of the Nevo EV Show.
One of the most significant additions for 2026 is the introduction of the Nevo x Bank of Ireland Meet the Experts Lounge, an interactive education stage designed to remove much of the uncertainty that still surrounds electric motoring. Rather than traditional presentations alone, the new format will allow visitors to submit questions live via an interactive screen, creating real-time discussions with industry specialists.
Expert panel sessions throughout the weekend will cover everything from home charging and public infrastructure to vehicle finance, battery longevity, ownership costs and government supports. It reflects the reality that today’s buyers are looking for practical advice rather than sales pitches.
The show’s growing list of partners also demonstrates the increasingly collaborative nature of Ireland’s transition towards electrification.
Alongside title education partner Bank of Ireland, both The Irish Times and Zevi (Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland) return as supporting partners, while ESB and myenergi deliver some of the event’s most engaging experiences.
Importantly, however, Nevo has never been solely about the cars. Visitors can expect a lively festival atmosphere throughout the weekend, with interactive exhibits, family-friendly entertainment, competitions, technology showcases and a variety of engaging activations taking place across the venue.
The aim is to create an enjoyable day out whether visitors arrive ready to purchase their next electric vehicle or are simply curious about what the future of motoring looks like.
Timing could hardly be better. Ireland’s electric vehicle market enters the final quarter of 2026 in robust health, with EV registrations continuing to outperform previous years and consumer confidence strengthening as model choice expands across virtually every price point.
Improvements in charging infrastructure, longer vehicle ranges and increasingly competitive pricing have all contributed to making electric motoring a realistic option for more households than ever before.
The Nevo EV Show has grown alongside that transformation. In just two years it has become more than an exhibition; it has become a meeting point for the entire electric mobility ecosystem.
Manufacturers can showcase new technology, policymakers can engage directly with motorists, industry experts can answer difficult questions, and consumers can compare dozens of vehicles in a single visit.
As Ireland continues its transition towards cleaner transport, events such as Nevo play an increasingly important role in bridging the gap between curiosity and confidence.
For anyone considering their first electric vehicle, or simply wanting to understand where motoring is heading next, the RDS on November 7th and 8th will once again provide the country’s most comprehensive snapshot of the future on four wheels.
