Chocolate – dark, preferably.

Walk with dogs and cutting the lawn.

€120. In the case of emergency, cash is king.

The last book you read?

Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson. It’s about the importance of handling change in our lives in a positive way. I read it 25 years ago and still regularly refer to it.

What is the best business advice you’ve ever been given?

Visualise success and surround yourself with positive people.

How do you manage your work/life balance?

When at work be at work, when at home be at home.

The last film you watched?

The Guard.

What is your favourite possession?

HaloPad, an age-friendly tablet.

What’s your most memorable holiday ever?

Japan is the best country I’ve visited – the infrastructure, friendliness, culture – there are lessons for Ireland.

RTÉ news.

Early bird.

What person do you most admire?

The pope.

What’s your favourite place in Dublin and why?

Stillorgan; I lived there during my years at UCD ... great memories.
