In his campaign for the White House, Donald Trump made many promises across a range of issues – some will impact only his fellow Americans, others will have deep and lasting impacts on the rest of the world.

For this episode of In the News, Irish Times reporters run the rule over those promises and what might happen now that he has won the US presidential election, if he acts on even a fraction of them.

With Cliff Taylor on the economic impact; Kevin O’Sullivan on climate; Beijing-based Denis Staunton on global affairs; Dan McLoughlin on Ukraine; and Kathy Sheridan on women’s rights.

Presented by Bernice Harrison. Produced by Declan Conlon, Aideen Finnegan and Suzanne Brennan.
