On Tuesday afternoon, following weeks of anticipation and speculation, Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe and Minister for Public Expenditure Michael McGrath revealed the Government’s €11 billion worth of measures for Budget 2023.
But will the Government’s spending measures for next year, including a €4.1 billion package of cost-of-living measures which will start kicking in within weeks, really make a difference in people’s daily lives, particularly those genuinely struggling to make ends meet, put food on the table and pay energy bills?
