As the dust settles on Cop27, world leaders must now implement the commitments and promises that were made at the two-week summit.

Failure to do so would have disastrous consequences for the climate and would call into question the integrity of the event and its capacity to enact meaningful change.

So just what was agreed by leaders and what difference will it make in the fight against climate change?

To go through the success and failures of the conference and what needs to happen next, Aideen Finnegan is joined by Environment and Science editor Kevin O’Sullivan.
