Martyn Turner writes: This cartoon of the lemmings went, I was told, viral. No I'm not sure what that means either. I got an email from UKIP about it, asking if they could reprint the cartoon in their upcoming NO campaign literature. (They also thought the lemmings were sheep, but, in my defence, I never claimed I could draw.)

I loathe UKIP with an intensity I usually reserve for those who think blowing up and shooting people is a legitimate political activity.

I replied to them along these lines.

“Dear UKIP. I usually allow political parties of all persuasions to reprint my cartoons so long as they give proper attribution. However, in your case, I am happy to make an exception.”
