Madam, - I agree with Sandra McAvoy (July 18th) about the excellence of Carol Coulter's coverage of the State's submission to the European Court of Human Rights in the "D" case. But that is the only thing we agree on.
Ms McAvoy speaks about abortion policy from a human rights perspective, which is a contradiction in terms. With all the technology, wealth and knowledge at our disposal surely there is a better way to deal with this problem than to deny the humanity of the weakest people in society. - Yours, etc,
