A chara, – I wish our national flag could voice an opinion as to when and where it is used and indeed sometimes abused.
Every protest that takes place in Ireland features numerous Tricolours, either on flagpoles or being worn as shawls. Our noble flag has no power over who wears it.
No matter what the message of the various protests the flag is seen as adding some authenticity. Its latest day out was on Saturday to accompany the “anti-Covid restrictions” people. – Is mise,
