Warm greetings

Sir, – I’m glad we didn’t book a holiday. We only go to get a bit of sun, and now we have it here. When we come home, we stand out a bit because we are a bit brown, and people say “So where were you this year?”, and sometimes they are sorry they asked because an hour later we are filling them in on a day by day account of a great holiday and all the things we did and ate and drank! And we love showing off our tans as we parade around the supermarket smiling a bit smugly at all the pasty faces. Now there’s no novelty in the sun holiday anymore because we are living the dream here in our own little county and we can’t boast about our tans anymore because we all have one! – Yours, etc,
