Sir, – While much of the discussion about the re-introduction of the Phoenix Park tunnel for regular passenger use has focused on comparisons to the Dart Underground proposal, there has been little mention of its potential to improve public transport services for north Dublin.
Even if Dart Underground goes ahead, the large population of areas such as Drumcondra, Glasnevin and Cabra would appear to be sufficient to support a rail link for these areas to both Connolly and Heuston stations. – Yours, etc,
