Madam, - In his article on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict Tom Cooney accuses Ali Halimeh of bullying "the truth through a PLO propaganda sieve". He then uses percentages of non-combatant killings to contend that the Palestinian campaign is worse than the Israeli one.
He states: "At the end of October, out of 1,730 Palestinian deaths, 729 were combatants, amounting to about 43 per cent of Palestinian casualties. Out of 635 Israeli deaths, 126 were combatants, amounting to 20 per cent.".
So Mr Cooney, by your own account the Israelis have killed almost three times as many Palestinians as the Palestinians have killed Israelis, and the Israelis have killed almost twice as many non-combatants as the Palestinians have.
