Sir,– Would the Secret Teacher in that classroom (Education, September 11th) ever conclude that the students might just use the electronic screen to save themselves from the endless drone of disappointment in their performance? I too would use any level of static to blank out the boredom of that relentless list of dissatisfaction.
Surely a sense of humour, sadly lacking in that piece, should in some way shape someone’s suitability to engage daily with multiple groups of young people. – Yours, etc,
