The horcrux of the matter

Sir, – In “Harry Potter fans spellbound by horcrux question” (June 11th), the high level of literacy required to complete a geometric construction question on a Junior Cert was criticised.

While I would expect Junior Cert students to understand the term “equilateral triangle”, I am more concerned that nobody in the State Examinations Commission realised (or bothered to check) that there is no “horcrux symbol”, and that the shape in question was the symbol of the Deathly Hallows. – Yours, etc,

LAURA GLEESON,

Cork.
