A chara, – David Wilson raises an interesting question in "Why is ignorance of the Bible so acceptable in modern society?" (Rite and Reason, July 7th).
One might well wonder why should this be the case when even atheist extraordinaire Richard Dawkins believes that a knowledge of the Bible is of fundamental importance for an understanding of our culture and history?
