Sir, – I recall being told of an incident in a Cork golf club, where a member of a three-ball was urging the putt of a fellow player into the hole, being told by the putt-taker, “Don’t talk to my ball”. The putt-taker was known subsequently by the name “Don’t talk to my ball”. – Yours, etc,
