Sir, – When I lived in California I laughed at the number of local ordinances that prevented the outright use of leaf blowers in neighbourhoods and the restriction on noisy gardening activities.
I am not laughing now. It is almost impossible to have one day of working at home without being disrupted by these machines.
Perhaps Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council can begin to consider such noise as pollution and introduce plans to deal with it. – Yours, etc,
