Sir, - As a regular visitor to Dublin Airport I am amazed at the attitude displayed by Oliver McCann of Aer Rianta (October 3rd). Before he starts criticising Tony Ryan for daring to question Aer Rianta's "vision" for Dublin Airport, he should ask himself where the huge increase in traffic has come from.
In the space of a decade, Ryanair has gone from nothing to being one of the largest users of Dublin airport. During this time Aer Rianta has developed an attitude towards the private sector in general and Ryanair in particular that is totally inappropriate for a government agency. There is no reason why Dublin can't have multiple terminals operated by different organisations. The sooner it happens the better it will be for the travelling public. - Yours, etc.,
