Sir, – Perhaps this is a good time to remind drivers that the speed limit shown is the maximum allowed, but only if it is safe to do so. The speed limit allowed is not a target to be achieved regardless of road, traffic or weather conditions. It is permissible to drive slower than the speed limit, but not so slow that you are causing an obstruction.
A certain application of brain-power, common sense and looking out the window to see what is in front of you is required when driving.
Sadly lacking, unfortunately, in a lot of Irish drivers, – Yours, etc,
