Silage season and the Simplex crossword

Sir, – I refer to the Simplex crossword (June 29th). Clue 29 across was “Slow-moving vehicles” for which the answer was “Tractors”.

Obviously the cruciverbalist/ compiler of this crossword has not lived down the country during a dry spell and silage season.
