Madam, – Labour Party leader Eamonn Gilmore has raised a valid point about the concessions being made to certain elements of the No side in the Lisbon referendum (The Irish Times, December 27th).
I voted Yes last time, and expect to do so again. However, if concessions are being made to the homophobic, fundamentalist Christian far right and the paranoid “Nato-under-the-bed” far left, I may reconsider.
Are the votes of those of us in the moderate centre of less value than those of extremists? – Yours, etc,
