Sea change and a Clontarf wall

Sir, – Presumably the councillors have set aside an adequate budget to raise the wall again in the near future.

I can only think of one advantage to this debacle – it’s a wonderful way to create employment! – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Rather than lower the wall, could they not just raise the road? – Yours, etc,

A chara, – Other than letting those in charge of a moving vehicle be lost at sea, was is not suggested that they could simply look at photos of Dublin Bay on their mobile phones while driving? It would save the taxpayer a pretty penny. – Is mise,

Sir, – Instead of spending €500,000 to lower the sea wall at Clontarf, I suggest €100,000 be paid to an artist to spend a year creating a work of art along the entire structure, or mosaic it, as done in many coastal cities around the world, Lisbon and Barcelona being two examples.

Support the arts and save a fortune at the same time. Too sensible? – Yours, etc,
