Sir, – As someone who has narrowly avoided several close encounters with motorists wielding mobile phones while driving, I am bemused at the way this practice is being taken as a trivial detail in the current Shatter-Wallace spat.
We cannot prevent ego-driven politics taking up valuable Dáil time but we can reduce incidents of drivers behaving irresponsibly if the law was applied to everyone. – Yours, etc,
