Sir, – I am currently a patient in St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny. I want to compliment all the staff, doctors, nurses, orderlies, cleaners, porters, indeed every single member of staff, on their excellent care and concern tor every patient. They all work very long shifts, almost run into the ground, but are unfailingly courteous, patient, good humoured and kind to everyone, even the most irascible patient. There is great friendship and support among all ranks, which is lovely to see. I have been on a trolley, in a corridor, during my stay here and saw and heard so much.
