Sir, – Tomás Finn makes a good point in that we could have combined minimum pricing on alcohol with a recycling levy to discourage littering (Letters, January 13th). I would go one step further. A disposal tax should be priced into absolutely everything bought and sold on this island. There should be no disposal costs, applied later at dumps, community skips, waste-removal services, etc, deterring people from proper recycling or disposal. It's a simple solution and the only way to curb the horrendous littering. – Yours, etc,
