Sir, - It was a breath of fresh air to read Miriam Donohoe's article on our President (Opinion, October 4th) and it has helped in no small way to revive my drooping spirits on my Irishness. In any event, I knew the President was an outstanding person. Every time she talks or appears one feels a great pride. Add to this the fact that her husband is a dignified and pleasant family person and we are very fortunate in having the McAleeses representing us internationally. - Yours, etc.,
