Sir, – It is one thing if The Irish Times, or any other private organisation, decides to campaign for repeal of the Eighth Amendment. It is quite another matter if the Project Arts Centre in Dublin, or any organisation or individual funded from the public purse, does so.
Have these people no grasp at all of what it means to be a public servant? It should not depend on a refusal of planning permission or any other legal device, to get them to do their job properly.
They should know instinctively that balance and fairness are part of their job description.
