Sir, - The story goes that when Peter Ustinov applied to Hollywood for the part of Nero in the film Quo Vadis, he was at first turned down; the reason given was that he was too young. He replied to the studios informing them that Nero died at the age of 23, and that he himself was actually 25 years old at the time. He got the part. - Yours, etc.,
